Farmhouse History

A former owner of Echo Bend turned up these gems recently, which demonstrate the huge, impressive mass of house that was once our modest farmhouse.  It’s clearly sizable, even after the removal of an entire back wing (you can see where it was attached in the view of the back of the house).

The re-addition of the 3-sided wrap-around porch is a must-do someday, as are the hanging beds on the porch that the original house owners told us about last summer!

Back wing. The top story has been removed, leaving a flat roof.
You can see where the back wing addition was removed.

South side— where the dining room and farm office are now. Top story/dormer now gone. 😦
